GOD SQUAD
Who we are:
To serve and glorify God through ministry by:
Providing a team environment encouraging people to be involved in mission’s education and personal development through Bible and book studies;
Provide prayer support and encouragement for missionaries;
Provide organization for short term mission’s trips;
Provide another avenue by which people will be able to fulfill their call as witnesses according to Acts 1:8.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you: and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Sameria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
The meaning of our name:
The name for the mission’s ministry at Kingman Christian Church is called “God’s Squad.” The purpose of the team is to Glorify God. We do this according to our mission statement and according to God’s Word. Why the name “God’s Squad.”? We are all members of God’s army! We are commissioned to reach the world and help them understand who God is and how they can have a personal relationship with Jesus. An army has many different fighting units. The smallest of these units is a squad. A squad can be a very effective team.
Our Purpose:
Jesus gave us all a mission to “go to all the world and make disciples.” For most of us, our mission field is right in our own back yards. Unless we are decisively called by God to become full-time missionaries, we may never actually see a missionary at work in the field. We hope to be able to send teams or “squads” into the field on short term trips to reach the lost and encourage missionaries and other believers.
God is Calling:
We may not be “called” by God to become a full-time missionary. However, that does not relieve us of our responsibility to support those who have received the call and are already in the field. Monetary support is always needed as is prayer. We are called by the Most High to be good stewards of our resources and to do what He has purposed in our hearts for us to do. We all have been given talents and abilities that are to be used in service to the Body of Christ. What better use of our talents than to use them to bless others. Through this ministry we can experience God’s love and Grace in action through short term mission’s trips. You may be the person that God calls to organize, lead, or be a part of a Mission’s team to another town State or country to do His work. If you are one of his chosen people for this purpose, please contact the Mission’s Director for more information.
