KCC NEWS

Greetings! I hope that all of you are enjoying a wonderful week!

Last night (Friday) The ministry heads and staff met at the church  to start setting up for this weekends ministry fair that will take place during services on this Sunday Feb 17th. Some of the thoughts shared were inspired by Pastor Dennys sermon from last Sunday and just some ongoing evaluation that we do here at KCC. The thoughts were; that we cannot allow negative attitudes to creep into our ministries and/or everyday lives as this kind of thinking only ravages and destroys. We are about God's business to spur one another on toward love and good deeds and to overcome evil with good! So let's keep up the good work!
Another thought was that "sometimes you have to go back to move forward" This simply means that sometimes we lose sight of what we are supposed to be doing and why we are doing things a certain way. We all need to take a moment at times and go back to the time when we first believed in that ministry, that relationship, that dream, that Savior! God will use this in your own life to encourage your walk and your ministry, to bring clarity and purpose back to the forefront of your mind and to strengthen your spirit, which will enable you to encourage others as we head down this path together.

Pastor Louie has been preparing to move to Kingman, please keep him in your prayers as he makes this transition of moving, getting uprooted and the sale of his home. Lots of fun stuff!

Let us continue to be a welcoming Church and a people of action as we follow after Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith!

Your friend, Mark.

Greetings!

I hope that your week has been a joyous one. I know that many of you have been dealing with the flu and other fun activities, such as Marcus Avarette having surgery on his arm. He is doing as well as can be expected as far as I know. Also Don Keister spent some time in the hospital this past week, I will see if I can get you an update on his condition, He is such a neat man to know.

Some upcoming events that are headed our way are the ministry fair on February 17th during services, the staff will be meeting with ministry heads on Friday the 15th to set up and prepare the sanctuary.

Easter service will be held at the North campus high school again this year, what a great time to invite a friend! We are already putting the plans together to celebrate Easter together. Service will start at 10 am sharp, with a donut and coffee time from 9:30-10:00 am prior to service.

Pastor Louie Marsh will be joining us again on Saturday,February 9th at 10am in the fellowship hall for the last scheduled "meet and greet" event, so come on out and get to know our new Pastor a little bit more!

I would also like to include Pastor Louies website address, so you can find out a little bit more about him on the web.

We would also like to invite you to check out the church's website as it is being updated weekly and to be able to share it with those who may be interested in our church.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my families gratitude to all of you who have given so much to our new addition, Baby Brooke! I think of you every time I go to get more diapers and wipes out of the closet! Don't worry, it's a good thing. It makes me think of how wonderful and caring our church body is.

I also know that we have a few more new babies on the way and I look forward to sharing in the blessing of giving alongside of you, congratulations Dan and Petra and Chris and Amy!

If you happen to be pregnant and would like others to know about it, just send me an e-mail! If you are a man and you are pregnant, call the "National Inquirer", this is also good for UFO sightings.
